Inshore
Morro Negrito
Reef and mangrove diving in the Gulf of Chiriqui, with comfortable camp accommodations on the island.
On an island in the Gulf of Chiriqui, Morro Negrito sits near a mainland coastline with miles of mangroves that feed the whole food chain. Expect diverse inshore fish: sierra, dorado, red snapper, small yellowfin, barracuda, snook and more. The water here bursts with life and some of the most varied catches of your life.

Our Services
A variety of dive points
Morro Negrito offers flexibility based on weather and experience. Most of our dives run from 30' to 80' in depth.

The boat
A 24' panga with a 60HP Yamaha, plus a handheld VHF radio, compass, GPS, first aid/trauma pack and caseta. Radio equipment is modified to a 100-mile range. Safety is a priority.

Group Size
Up to 6 spearos per boat so we can keep an eye on everyone in the water, and the diving is simply better without a crowd.
Accommodations
- General camp layout
- All camp rooms are tiled with electricity. Around camp you'll find hammocks and sun chairs to lounge in, plus a few showers to rinse off after a session.
- Rooms
- Basic rooms that usually hold two campers; on request we'll provide a larger bed for couples. Tiled floors, a night stand, and a fan in most rooms, though the ocean breeze is usually enough.
- Bathrooms
- Three bathrooms with shower, sink and toilet, tiled and cleaned regularly.
- Dining / rec area
- A central spot where everyone gathers to eat and socialize: a TV, a small library, a ping pong table, filtered water and a variety of other random things.
- Food
- Three meals a day included, healthy and often with fresh fruit. Special diets on request. Sodas and beers are a dollar each, right outside the kitchen.
