Gulf of Chiriqui, Panama
Spearfishing in Panama
Some of the most prolific, unspoiled spearfishing grounds on earth, with trophy robalo to world-record yellowfin tuna.
The Gulf of Chiriqui, off the Pacific coast of Panama, holds some of the most prolific and unspoiled fishing grounds in the world, an unparalleled assortment of spearfishing locations with a huge variety of game fish, from trophy-size robalo to world-record yellowfin tuna.
Inshore spearfishing
The Gulf of Chiriqui has more Pacific-coast islands than almost any country in Central America. They offer a wide variety of inshore game fish as well as pelagic species: snapper, robalo, corvina, grouper, african pompano and mackerel among them.
Blue water spearfishing
For the thrill of a blue-water hunt, we've got you covered. The Hannibal Bank, a meeting ground for some of the world's largest pelagic fish, is right in our backyard, where ocean depths rise from thousands of feet and upwelling creates nutrient-rich water. Expect big schools of yellowfin tuna, large wahoo and trophy dorado, with the unspoiled Isla Montuosa and its huge cubera snapper and massive tuna a short distance away.
Trophy fish await...
